Higher Education in Private Institutions

In addition to Sri Lankan State Universities, there are a number of private institutions that offer students a chance at higher education. Some of these award their own qualifications, while most private institutions offer qualifications in partnership with foreign universities based in countries like Australia and the UK.
In choosing to obtain a degree from a foreign university, students have the option of completing the entire course within Sri Lanka itself or studying the final portion at the foreign university.
