As information technology continues to transform our lives, IT systems are becoming ever more important for organisations to remain competitive. To maintain their edge, businesses need to plan, design and implement effective IT systems. The demand for graduates with the skills and understanding to align such systems to support them has never been greater.

This course provides the flexibility to adapt to the changing demands of industry and equips you with the skills needed to sustain a successful career as an IT professional. The core programme focuses on database design, systems analysis and e-business development, as well as the personal and business skills required in all modern IT environments.

Program Structure

BSc (BIT) is a 3 year full-time degree. This program comprises of lectures , practical sessions, research projects, individual/ group presentations, tutorials and group discussions. After the first 2 years of the degree you will be awarded a Higher National Diploma from the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) At the end of 3 years you will be awarded BSc (BIT) from the Birmingham City University.

- 3 passes from G.C.E A/L

- 5 passes from G.C.E O/L including Maths and English
